ONE-ON-ONE – about a young African-American player playing basketball in a once all-white neighborhood court and the tragedy that occurs because of that incident. It’s a work of fiction based on true events. Former artistic director of Ireland’s Abbey Theatre and Cleveland’s Great Lakes Theater had this to say about the play after watching a reading: “It is not only a very timely play, a gripping play, it is also a play about relationships and lack of relationships between black and white boys and men. In watching the play I was riveted, moved, impressed, entertained and gripped. I am enthusiastic about the play’s future and importance.
