“Thicker Than Water” is a story about a college student returning to home to the tiny town of Pinion Hills after spending time at school in the big (gay) city. Unknown to him, he has been called home because his father is dying and wants to choose an heir to take care of the family business. Things come to a head when the protagonist’s brother, who has been promised the family business, discovers he will not be the heir, and the protagonist, who has to this point been free to explore his sexuality, must choose between familial duty and the city and lifestyle he loves. |
