K.'s assassination, and in an hour, John has to appear in front of the country, like he has for the previous anniversaries, and regurgitate the same old company line: Lee Harvey Oswald was the lone assassin. But this time John Noble won't do it. He knows it's a lie. The words would choke him. Until alchohol and his venal producer persuade him that money is the only truth, and illusion, sometimes the best reality. |
